In my previous post, I gave you the 2024/2025 JAMB syllabus for CRS which shows you the topics or areas of concentration for you to study and score high in your UTME. In this post, I will show you the list of CRS textbooks recommended by JAMB for you to read up the approved topics.
I have one expo for you at the end of this post. I have heard severally, how most people fear to take CRS examinations because you see different thing from from what you have read. I have the simple truth for you and what you will do to see most of the things you’ve read. Let’s get started.

These are the books you need to use while studying for your JAMB. However, you do not have to buy all the textbooks on the list.
Best CRS Textbooks for JAMB Preparation
While all the textbooks on the list are important and effective for you to use, I strongly recommend Exam Focus Christian Religious Knowledge by Adetunji, P.G Christian Religious Knowledge for Secondary Schools Books 1 – 3 by Adeyemo, I. O. et al because of the following reasons:
- It is well detailed. Each topic is not treated as summary but as exposition which needs every detail to be considered. Just like other Exam Focus textbooks, it explains every detail of each topic.
- It shows possible questions and answers especially theoretical questions. While you prepare for JAMB, it also helps you prepare for WAEC/NECO/GCE.
How to Prepare for JAMB CRS Examination (Expo)
This is how you prepare for CRS examinations; do not read from the CRS textbook(s). Read from the bible!
Textbooks only give you a summary of what happened in the bible. So, since it focuses on summary, it does not capture all the details thereby skipping some important details you are supposed to know.
When you read the bible, it gives every detail including the words of every character. In fact, it is better for you to read only the Bible than reading textbooks.
You don’t start from Genesis to revelation. All you have to do is to follow the CRS syllabus where you find the chapters under each topic. Read those chapters and verses. Just read it as though you are reading a story book or one interesting books.
Finally, use only Revised Standard Version of the Bible. It is called students Bible. So, your questions are set using that particular version. Do not make the mistake of using any other version to study. With these, I bet you will find CRK so easy.
