IELTS Exam Dates 2024: IELTS is the most popular language test, especially among students seeking to continue their academic pursuit in another country, or migrants. The full meaning of IELTS is International English Language Testing System.

IELTS is a standardized test for English language proficiency taken by Non-English language speakers. It was established in 1989 and has become the most proficient way of testing students and anyone traveling to an English speaking country. 

There were about 3.5 million people who took the test in 2018 alone. It is popular because institutions in countries like New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the British, most European countries, and Ireland accept it. Also, more than 3,000 institutions in the United States and many professionals in the world accept it. 

IELTS Exam Dates 2024

Dates for 2023 IELTS Exams have been set for the two types of IELTS available, which are Academic and General Training. The IELTS General training type of IELTS will be taken using paper or a computer in testing Centers. Academic can be taken in Centers but now available to be taken online from home with internet enabled devices. 

IELTS paper tests can be taken four times in one month while online tests can be accessed every day.

IELTS Exam Syllabus 2023

Candidates need to learn about IELTS syllabus for 2023 Exam if they have verified the date for their exams. There are four main sections of this test and time is allocated to each section depending on how long they are. 

1. IELTS listening syllabus 

Candidates have 30 minutes to complete this section. They tested in their ability to understand spoken English through the use of recording, conversation, monologue and lecture. 

2. IELTS reading syllabus 

Candidates will spend 60 minutes in this section. Their reading skills are tested with many systems like texts with books journals, magazine and newspaper. They are also presented with articles, graphs and essays. 

3. IELTS writing syllabus 

This section lasts for 60 minutes and has two tests, which the first requires you to write an essay in a particular prompt and present your opinion is a particular topic. The second test reguire you to explain a visual information like diagram, graph or chart. 

4. IELTS speaking syllabus 

Candidates will spend 14 minutes in this section. They will be tested on their ability communicate in English language. It may involve one-on-one interview with questions on your view in a particular topic.
