Understanding the Programme
This programme is a strategic initiative aimed at addressing the educational and career advancement needs of HND holders who aspire to convert their diplomas into Bachelor’s degrees. The curriculum is tailored to enrich your knowledge and align your skills with the demands of the global job market, ensuring a seamless transition to higher career roles and opportunities.
Objectives of the Programme
The objectives of the FUOYE External (Degree and HND Conversion) Programme are to:
- Provide suitable academic programmes that facilitate conversion from HND to University Degree Certification.
- Upgrade the quality of University Degrees from Third Class and/or Pass division.
- Open up postgraduate study options and help with career progression or career change.
- Build fundamental skills and knowledge specific to the market.
Admission Requirements
Candidates must satisfy the following admission requirements:
- Possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level subjects at credit level in relevant subjects in not more than two (2) sittings.
- English Language and Mathematics at credit level are compulsory for all candidates.
- Minimum of Third Class or Pass Division or HND certificate from a recognized institution.

Duration of Programme
- Six (6) semesters of three (3) academic sessions for the Faculties of Agriculture and Engineering.
- Four (4) semesters of two (2) academic sessions for the Faculties of Management Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences.
Lecture/Contact Period
- Lectures shall take place on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
