The Joint Japan World Bank Scholarship program, unlike other joint scholarships, is open to citizens of many countries – one of which is likely to be your home country.
For the purpose of this program, Japan joined hands with the World Bank. This is not the first of its kind. The Japanese government often grants the world bank grant sometimes worth as much as $10 million to support the yearly scholarship program the platform offers students from various countries across the globe.
You are now going to read about a fully funded postgraduate program for 2024 aspirants, so prepare yourself for the piece.
The Joint Japan World Bank Scholarship Program for the coming year will presumably close by February or May 2024. The official website where information such as this is supposed to be obtained has not stated yet when the scholarship will close. However, the date given herein (though presumed) will most likely be the case, following the usual date in previous years.
It would be recalled that 2019, this annual scholarship program reportedly closed on April 11, 2019. In the following year, 2020, the registration started on time and thus it ended on October 24, 2019. If it had not commenced early enough, it would have ended in the first session of the new year. This was evident in 2022, as it ended in April.
The board responsible for this has also extended deadlines in the past, so it is not always stable.
Regardless of this though, you can rest assured that we would get this post updated as soon as the appropriate information is readily available.

Conclusion
An opportunity may knock only once. It may seem relatively herculean to meet the requirements or every criterion put up by the host of this scholarship program but applicants should remember it is worth it.
Joint scholarships always put some people at a disadvantage at the expense of others. With this in mind, you should check out other scholarships on our site, in case a criterion or two denies you eligibility here.
