The full meaning of BPP University is Brierley Price Prior. The name was given after the founders: Alan Brierley, Richard Price and Charles Prior in 1975
Deadline
Applications are currently open for September 2023 courses.
To be eligible, candidates must have completed and submitted their single scholarship application by the deadline date. Candidates who are shortlisted will be advised one week after the Application deadline and will be given one week to complete a short project. The winners of the full-fee scholarships will be notified within three weeks of the Application deadline.

Eligibility for BPP University Scholarship
To apply, you must meet ALL of the following minimum criteria:
- You must have submitted an application to study at BPP University;
- To be considered for the Career Commitment Scholarship, the list price of the course you have applied for must exceed £9,500;
- You must have achieved a minimum of a 2:1 degree result or equivalent (or 2:2 with evidence of mitigating circumstances, reviewed on a case-by-case basis);
- You must not hold full fees sponsorship for the course from elsewhere (e.g. an employer); and
- You must not have already been awarded another BPP scholarship with a value of £2,000 or more.
In your application, you will be asked to demonstrate evidence of your suitability while we assess your application against the relevant scholarship criteria.

A limited number of students who are awarded a Career Commitment Scholarship will be shortlisted for one of the full-fee scholarships listed below.
Career Commitment Scholarship
Awarded to the most promising future legal professionals
Dean of BPP Law School Scholarship
Aimed at high achieving students who can demonstrate an outstanding standard of academic achievement and commitment to their legal careers.
Future Leader Scholarship
Offered to those showcasing outstanding leadership skills or innovation ability, with the drive and ambition to become a future leader within the legal profession.
Chancellor’s Scholarship
Awarded to those demonstrating a unique and inspiring legal career journey – overcoming obstacles or providing outstanding contributions to charitable causes.
Macfarlanes BPP Scholarship
Each year, the Macfarlanes BPP scholarship will support one student from a lower socio-economic background who is interested in pursuing a career in law, through funding their SQE studies and providing them with a professional mentor.
Diversity Access Scheme
The Law Society Diversity Access Scheme (DAS) supports people from low socio-economic backgrounds who want to become solicitors, with 10 scholarships available each year. Details are on the Law Society website.
BTC Advocacy Scholarship
Awarded to BTC applicants who demonstrate outstanding potential in the core skills of advocacy from their advocacy video. For students who have applied for a place on the Barrister Training Course (BTC), Barrister Training Course (Master’s), and Barrister Training Course with SQE (Master’s).
BTC Excellence Scholarships
Awarded to all BTC students with a first-class undergraduate degree.
For students who have applied for a place on the Barrister Training Course (BTC), Barrister Training Course (Master’s), and Barrister Training Course with SQE (Master’s).
BPP University Law School Scholarship Amount
The award value for these scholarships is 100% fully funded except for the Career Commitment Scholarship which is worth £2,000.

Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship and Pro Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship
Two full-fee scholarships are available, open to BPP undergraduate students who are looking to continue their studies with us. Applicants must have showcased an outstanding ambassadorial approach during their time at BPP.
