About Wifle Scholarships Program

WIFLE Foundation, Inc. and Women in Federal Law Enforcement, Inc. (both abbreviated as WIFLE) are organizations dedicated to achieving gender equity in federal law enforcement by recruiting, retaining, and promoting qualified women. According to the United States Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), women made up 15.2 percent of federal officers among reporting agencies in 2008. This figure is lower than the BJS’s July 2006 figure of 16.1 percent. According to the 2019 report, the percentage of women has dropped to 13.9 percent. There is still much work to be done to achieve gender balance in federal agencies. WIFLE provides Scholarships in the spirit of achieving this goal.
